Mary Godfrey is a first year doctoral student from St. Louis, Missouri. She received her BA in Psychology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating, she worked as a Special Education teacher through Teach for America. Later, she worked as a research analyst at the Vanderbilt Memory & Alzheimer’s Center, where she assisted in researching the relationship between heart health and brain health of older adults in the prodromal phase of Alzheimer’s disease. Her current research interests include the cognitive processes underlying developmental disorders, specifically focusing on language and memory impairments. In her spare time, Mary loves traveling, running, and cooking new recipes.
